 ROSE          A NATURAL FLOWER MEDICINE

The Rose is most popularly known as the flower of love,

 particularly Red Rose.

Roses for the longest time have enjoyed the honour of being the most popular flowers in the world. The reason for the popularity of the rose flower may be its wide variety in terms, of colours, size and fragrance and other attributes.

  Herbal medicine dealers will be longing to get all the preparations which are made from roses  

Roses which are grown at home ground are best to consume and it has more medicinal values compared to roses which are specially cultivated in the farms. This is because specially cultivated flowers are grown with the help of chemicals. The roses grown under our special consideration for in taking is grown with natural fertility of our byproducts of unwanted and skins of vegetables.
The heart as you know is the most important organ in our body. In order to maintain the regular health of the heart, our Siddhars have recommended roses as tonic foods for the heart. 
The flowers of most species have five petals, with the exception of Rosa sericea, which usually has only four. Each petal is divided into two distinct lobes and is usually white or pink, though in a few species yellow or red. Beneath the petals are five sepals (or in the case of some Rosa sericea, four). These may be long enough to be visible when viewed from above and appear as green points alternating with the rounded petals. There are multiple superior ovaries that develop into achenes.[4] Roses are insect-pollinated in nature.

Now to eat the rose petals?

 Now soak the rose petals in honey and add palm sugar, blend it into a thick paste or leyhiam. By eating 1 tablespoon of rose leyhiam (legiyam) everyday, will help make the heart strong
.
You have to teach your children to eat rose petals as it is rich with nutrients and minerals. Rose petals can be used as a garnish when preparing fruit or vegetable salad.
 In aromatherapy, rose petals are soaked in water and used for bathing. Pannir or Rose water is an essence of rose.

HOW TO PREPARE ROSEWATER (Paneer)
4.5 litres of water
1.5 kilo's of rose petals

Boil for at least 1/2 to 1 hour and the boiled liquid should be obtained through the distillation process.
You can include Rose Water while cooking "Kesari" or "Beriyani". Rose water can also be used as a body perfume.


  • Roses

    Perfume is usually made from oil, and roses can be a source of the oil that is needed. This is the reason that some manufacturers use roses for their perfumes. The oil is sometimes called “attar of roses.” Obtaining the oil requires the crushing of rose petals. The crushed petals are then put through a steam distilling process.

    The oil is not the only product derived, as you can also get rose water. People use rose water for religious practices, cosmetics, and cooking.

    Rose oil can be yellow-grey or pale yellow. It takes approximately two thousand roses to yield one gram of oil.

    Rose petals are edible and can be collected at any time for this purpose. However, rose petals that are to be used in recipes or to be dried require a bit of planning. The perfect time to collect rose petals is mid-morning, on a dry day when the dew has evaporated and there’s been no rain for at least the past two days. Bring your fingers over an opened rose flower and tug gently on all the petals at once.

    Rose tea makes an excellent emmenagogue (a substance that stimulates  or increases menstrual flow.  )to help move blood and quell cramps during menstruation. Rose tea can also help to curb diarrhea since roses are astringent (wild rose being especially so).

    To help relieve menstrual cramps or diarrhea, drink 2–3 cups per day.

 Alugbati or Alabati in Philippines, (also Phooi leAlugbati or Alabati in Philippines, (also Phooi leaf,Red vine spinachCreeping spinachClimbing spinachIndian spinachPhilippine SpinachAsian Spinach) is a perennial vine found in the tropics where it is widely used as a leaf vegetable.
There are two types of Indian Spinach, Red Indian Spinach and White Indian Spinach. Red indian spinach has more nutritional value compared to white indian spinach. This vegetable is rich in vitamin A, C and D and good for cooling the eyes. Any vegetable which gives a cooling effect to the eyes are categorized under the types of cooling foods. Those who suffer from frequent constipation are advised to eat Indian spinach as it will make tools soft and ease motion.

When preparing porridge for children, it is good to add 2 to 3 leaves of Indian spinach into the porridge. The leaves are soft and tender and require minimum time to cook. Wash the leaves and cut the leaves into small pieces. Dry fry the leaves with grated coconut. This way of cooking will produce a very tasty dish.
 Indian Spinach can be treated as a very good medicine to provide insufficient vitamins and minerals to men and ladies reproductive organs. Lack of sufficient vitamins and minerals in women’s egg and men’s sperm is very common today as many of us tend to eat foods which contain lots of chemicals.
Indian spinach is very easy to grow and can be grown in any type of soil.You can grow Indian spinach in a pot and have it grown in your kitchen or any suitable places. Since it is very cooling, do not eat it everyday. It is best to eat this vegetable 1 to 2 times a week.


  Asthma patients are strictly forbidden to eat Indian spinach .This is because the cooling effect will increase kapa, i.e. more phlegm in the chest area. For those who are not suffering from asthma should include Indian spinach at least once a week as it is rich in nutritional value and has lots of health benefits.

Our immune system constantly produces substances (charged proteins called defensins) that target bacteria, fungi, and viruses. The immune cells release these defensins into the bodily fluids, where the “defensin cocktail” protects the body from assailants such as bacteria, fungi, and/or viruses. Defensins are about as old as insects; thus, they form an old component of our immune system, which means that they can be found throughout the entire animal kingdom.

 Immune cells release these proteins in high concentrations to the eye fluid, saliva, lungs, and vaginal mucus, for example. These proteins can be found wherever our body fights intruders! The development of defensins only functions well in a healthy body. A healthy body is understood as balanced interaction among our organs. Thus, for example, the non-microbial digestion of food takes place in the small intestine, which the microbial digestion dominates in the colon; the colon is a fermentation organ, so to speak. When an “imbalance” develops between the colon and the small intestine, it may negatively affect defensin production. Decreased defensin levels result in less resistance against microorganisms.

Aphthae – those painful little things in the mouth –

How can they be cured?

An aphthae is a disease of the oral mucosa, or a type of mouth ulcer. Anyone who has ever had such a small lesion in the mucous membrane knows how unpleasant aphthae can be. Eating and drinking are impaired; in most cases, dental care suffers as well. Three different clinical manifestations exist: Minor ulcerations, major ulcerations, and herpetiform ulcerations. This differentiation is made on the basis of their appearance and localization!
Minor ulcerations are the most common form; these are flat round or oval ulcerations with a diameter of less than five mm. They normally occur on the flexible gingiva (the oral mucosa) and heal after one to two weeks without any scarring.
It is recommended to eat often this Indian Spinach 
to be away from mouth ulcer.

 Alugbati atau Alabati di Filipina, (juga daun Phooi, bayam merah anggur, Bayam merayap, Bayam pendakian, bayam India, Bayam Filipina, Bayam Asia) adalah pokok anggur yang ditemui di kawasan tropika di mana ia digunakan secara meluas sebagai sayuran daun.
Terdapat dua jenis Bayam India, Bayam India Merah dan Bayam India Putih. Bayam indian merah mempunyai lebih banyak nilai pemakanan berbanding bayam indian putih. Sayuran ini kaya dengan vitamin A, C dan D dan baik untuk menyejukkan mata. Mana-mana sayuran yang memberikan kesan penyejukan kepada mata dikategorikan di bawah jenis makanan penyejuk. Mereka yang menderita sembelit kerap dinasihatkan untuk memakan bayam India kerana ia akan membuat alat lembut dan memudahkan pergerakan.


Basella alba-1.When preparing bubur untuk anak-anak, adalah baik untuk menambah 2 hingga 3 daun bayam India ke dalam bubur. Daun lembut dan lembut dan memerlukan masa minimum untuk memasak. Oleh kerana ia sangat menyejukkan, jangan makan setiap hari. Lebih baik makan sayur ini 1  kali seminggu.
 Pesakit asma dilarang keras untuk makan bayam India. Ini kerana kesan penyejukan akan meningkatkan kapa, ia itu lebih dahak di kawasan dada. Bagi mereka yang tidak mengalami asma perlu memasukkan bayam India sekurang-kurangnya  sekali seminggu kerana ia kaya dengan nilai pemakanan dan mempunyai banyak manfaat kesihatan.

Bagaimanakah mereka dapat disembuhkan?

Aphthae adalah penyakit mukosa mulut, atau sejenis ulser mulut. Sesiapa sahaja yang pernah mengalami luka kecil dalam membran mukus tahu betapa aphthae tidak menyenangkan. Makan dan minum adalah terjejas; dalam kebanyakan kes, penjagaan pergigian juga mengalami masalah. Tiga manifestasi klinikal yang berbeza ada: ulser kecil, ulserasi utama, dan ulserasi herpetiform. Pembezaan ini dibuat berdasarkan penampilan dan penyetempatan mereka!
